Meeting Up With NYC Music + Technology Heads
Last night, SonicScoop attended the NYC Music Technology Meetup at Le Poisson Rouge on Bleeker Street. Speakers from SoundCtrl, Kickstarter, Nabbr and Translation shared insights on their experiences using and developing social media and mobile applications to promote and bands and brands.
The hot topics included how to connect artists to fans on “the social web,” how to get fans to buy into a concept rather than just a record, and new and emerging widgets and platforms that can help record companies, music marketers and the artists themselves, to develop that fan-base.
