  • New Effects Possibilities
  • No Swapping Between Plug-In Windows

The effects rack platform marks the beginning of new ideas for the future of SoundToys plug-in development.

SoundToys 5 will be available Q4 of 2014 for Mac OSX and Windows. Available plug-in formats include AAX, RTAS, AU, and VST. Here are more details on the included effects from SoundToys:

SoundToys 5 effects are carefully handcrafted, based on decades of experience creating professional effect processing hardware and software, and inspired by Soundtoys’ extensive collection of rare and classic studio gear. Saturation, compression and distortion are modeled with Decapitator, Radiator, and DevilLoc. EchoBoy and the new PrimalTap are a virtual history of echo devices. Crystallizer and MicroShift model studio classic stereo widening, chorus and pitch effects. PanMan, Tremolator, FilterFreak, and PhaseMistress pioneered the concept of beat synchronized effects, and have extensive rhythmic editing power and deep customization options behind simple interfaces.

This is pretty much: A going out of business sale.

Old ideas remolded into an effects rack that Native Instruments has had for years. Hence, Guitar Rig which is a lot better than this. Add in an Ilok and Sound toys is the Ultimate Jew.

Not only is this the most ignorant comment I have ever read on here but it is also hugely racist. You clearly have little understanding of the pro audio world and discernible if you would compare Soundtoys plugins (quite possibly the most critically acclaimed plugins in the world) with the effects available in GuitarRig. Firstly they both serve entirely different purposes, secondly Soundtoys sounds far superior (I have both). As for your latest statement, I can assure you they are far from going out of business. Ignorance is bliss as they say.
