Waves Unveils New Online Store, YourWaves
Waves has unveiled its new interactive online store, YourWaves. The store features three main methods for purchasing plug-ins: the first two, “Artist Choice” and “Quick Choice” offer pre-selected bundles, while “Custom Choice” allows the user to mix and match as many plug-ins as they desire.
“Artist Choice” lets the user see which groups of plug-ins are being used by professional producers, engineers, and sound designers, and then purchase the same plug-ins as a bundle.
A few of the initial professionals signed on include Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters), Andrew Scheps (The Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2), and Scott Gershin, sound designer and mixer for Star Trek.
“Quick Choice” presents the user with five different price levels, ranging from $500 to $3,000. Each price level presents the user with approximately 20-30 plug-ins, from which they can pick any five. “Custom Choice” offers the most flexibility, allowing the user to mix and match any of the plug-ins offered by Waves.
YourWaves also allows the user to upgrade each plug-in individually, even if it was purchased as part of a bundle pack.
