Established boutique production music company VideoHelper, based in NYC, has a rare opening for a full-time composer/producer position.

In the words of VideoHelper, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be able to compose, produce + mix in a wide variety of genres (from Hip-Hop to Epic Trailer to Pop).  Sound design skills a big, big plus.

• Someone with a unique sensibility.  Surprise us.  Or horrify us. But for the love of God, do not show up with yet another Batman knock-off or a mediocre dance track composed entirely of Reason ReFills.

• Someone who understands how to tell stories through music + sound, not just writes cool music. Check out what we mean here: videohelper.com, and here: searchvh.com.

What we’re not looking for:

Big egos.

Hothouse specialists (“Dude, I only do atonal banjo-based dubstep”).

Mediocrity.

What we’re offering:

• Livable-in-NYC-salary, variable depending on level of experience/ability.

• Benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), and profit sharing.

• Composers keep their writer’s royalties, so if your music does well, so do you.

• A dynamic, creative environment complete with pool table, ping-pong, bar and sizable numbers of instruments of all kinds.

• A fully-outfitted writer’s room in our new Union Square studios. Our facility is 6,000+ square feet and has a good-size live room with fiber-optic ties to all the composer’s rooms.

This is an opportunity to do creative, challenging work at a very high level and be part of community of like-minded folks pushing the boundaries of music (and possibly taste).

All applicants must submit a brief statement and/or resume, links to music files and references by email ONLY to: info@videohelper.com.

No phone calls accepted.  If you do call us, we will then remind you to email your resume.  Upon receipt, we will then print it out and burn it.
