Newark, NJ-based entertainment services company Rock Ridge Music has grown its roster with the signing of two additional clients on the artist management side:  Cherry Poppin’ Daddies and Matt Duke.  They join Joe Firstman, Sister Hazel, Benjy Davis Project, Tony Lucca, Andrew Hoover, Ernie Halter and others on the Rock Ridge Music management client roster.

Eugene, Oregon’s genre-bending, multi-platinum-selling Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, perhaps best known for their swing hit “Zoot Suit Riot,” released two albums on Space Age Bachelor Pad/Rock Ridge Music on September 29, 2009:  “Susquehanna” and “Skaboy JFK: the Skankin’ Hits of the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.”  The popular eight-man band celebrated their 20-year anniversary in 2009, and their music styles have run the gamut over the years with explorations in many genres, such as Latin pop, swing, ska and glitter rock.  They’ve toured the world, headlining and sharing bills with folks like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Fishbone, and Reel Big Fish.

Matt Duke  is a Philadelphia-based perfomer.  His second full-length album, “Kingdom Underground,” was released by Rykodisc in 2008, followed by the “Acoustic Kingdom Underground EP,” which was an opportunity to explore and capture more raw emotion.  Indie rock-leaning Duke incorporates pop, folk, jazz and rock into his repertoire, and he is currently recording with producer Jason Finkel (The Queen Killing Kings, Inhabitants, Jeff Taylor) for an album to be released by Rykodisc in 2010.  A recent trek with Tony Lucca and Jay Nash led to the release of the “Totally F**kin’ Doin’ It” EP in November 2009 to commemorate the 25-city tour.  It hit #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter genre sales chart.

Rock Ridge Music offers artists a record label with national/international distribution through ADA (WMG), artist management, and a wide range of consulting services.  The company attracts artists looking to develop within the growing independent music sector.  Rock Ridge Music can be found online at http://www.rockridgemusic.com.
