Present Your Holiday Wish List As Classic Rock Poster
Guitar Center has created a new online “Wish List Poster Creator” as a creative way for musician/producers to present their holiday wish lists to loved ones in the form of a classic music/concert poster.
To create your wish list poster, log onto http://www.guitarcenter.com/wishlist, choose an overall design, drag & drop items from Guitar Center’s merchandise onto your poster, and, if desired, add a personal message and upload a photograph.
The finished poster (like those pictured) can be uploaded to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace or emailed directly to friends and family, who will — at the very least — get a kick out of your wish list-making skills, and hopefully click through to get you exactly what you could really use! Also, musicians that create wish lists will also be sent a coupon worth ten percent off a single item at Guitar Center.
Guitar Center commissioned well-known poster artists — including Gregg Gordon (Ween, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Umphrey’s Mcgee), Henry Owings (The Fiery Furnaces, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists and Mogwai) and Andrew McCraken (Broken Social Scene, Jay Reatard and Modest Mouse) — to design the interactive posters as an homage to a wide variety of genres, including indie, 60s, garage, new wave, propaganda, rockabilly, punk, psychedelic, metal and hatch.
