Man Made Music (NYC) Launches The Ledge – Boutique Music Catalogue for Prime Time TV

Joel Beckerman’s Man Made Music (NYC), a highly active music company for television, announced the launch of The Ledge, a new boutique music catalogue for prime time television.

According to Beckerman, The Ledge aims to raise the caliber of musical content available to the networks and broadcasters, providing a clear high-end alternative to the larger, mass-market production libraries.
The Ledge catalogue will be invitation-only, providing unique material for television.

Comprised of a stable of award-winning composers, with extensive experience in the music for television world, the private Ledge catalogue will be created and maintained by a select team of composers, music supervisors, and brand strategists to ensure its authenticity and ultimate success.

The content of The Ledge will be a custom mix of rock, hip-hop and electronica that is only available by invitation to certain production companies, networks and “friends” affiliated with the group.

Chris Langrill will be overseeing The Ledge for Man Made Music.

The Ledge, introduced at this year’s CMJ Festival in New York City and at the annual Billboard Film and Television Conference in Los Angeles on October 29th will be aggressively scouting for additional creative composers to join the portfolio with the goal of doubling the size of the current catalogue of 1000 full-length tracks by year’s end.

Man Made Music founder Beckerman recently received the ASCAP “Most Performed Themes” Award for the fourth year in a row. Other recent credits from the company include the new NBC Superbowl theme with John Williams, CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, supervising the placement of The Black Eyed Peas’ new single “I Gotta Feeling” with CBS for their 2009 Fall Promo. Other projects include “FX Has The Movies” and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia promos, an artist partnership with John Legend for The History Channel’s King Documentary, with Blues Explosion for Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations and with Ice T for History Channel’s Gangland.
