Rain Computers Introduces Stratus, Affordably Priced Audio Computer

Rain Computers (Ringwood, NJ) has announced the availability of Stratus, an affordable audio computer for home studio environments.

Rain Computers has introduced its latest system, the $800 Stratus.

Stratus (MSRP: $800) is designed as a platform for industry-standard music production software like Pro Tools, Cubase and SONAR, and tested with a variety of audio hardware such as the Mbox USB interface. According to Rain, the objective is to achieve optimum power and stability, superior to off-the-shelf computers running audio applications.

Stratus is available now through Best Buy with either a quad-core or 6-core processor. Users can also create a custom configuration for Stratus through the Rain Custom Shop at RainComputers.com including their choice of processor, memory, hard drives and more.

In addition, Stratus includes a free 30-day trial of RainCare Encompass Creative Computer Support, a tech support system designed to assist with the complete software and hardware setup.
