dbx by HARMAN is upping their game on the 500 Series front. Five new modules, and two new chassis grace the show room floor at NAMM 2016, each offering up something different.
500 Series Modules
dbx 540 Tube Mic Preamp with Optical Compressor – The 540 is a tube-driven microphone preamp that delivers versatile tone through an interchangeable 12AX7 tube feature. Users can easily boost the RMS with a built-in optical compressor with fast attack.

dbx 565 Dual Chassis Optical Compressor – A dual chassis, dual channel optical compressor with multi-band compression. The compressor works as a flexible module for multiple recording applications from Live to Studio. Featuring a VU Meter for master level display and LED for gain reduction the 565 makes monitoring compression simple. Each band has dedicated compression, attack, release, and bypass.

dbx 555 5-Band Parametric EQ – Five bands of parametric EQ control in a dual chassis. Each of the five bands offers +12 of dB boost or -15 dB of attenuation, variable bandwidth between .03 – 2.0 octaves, and dedicated on/off switches.
