Burl Audio Announces B16 Mothership and BAES4 AES I/O Card

Santa Cruz, CA based audio company Burl Audio has released a 2U, 2-slot version of their B80 Mothership AD/DA interface.

Sporting multiple configurations, the new B16 Mothership interface is capable of I/O setups between 4-in/8-out, and 8-in/16-out. Every ADC channel uses a proprietary BX1 transformer and every DAC channel has the latest Burl Audio discrete op-amp, BOPA4.

Each Motherboard unit is compatible with Burl Audio’s interchangeable motherboards, including:

  • BMB1 – DigiLink: Two DigiLink connectors for direct hookup to Pro Tools
  • BMB2 – MADI: Two optical MADI ports for use with ASIO or CORE AUDIO PCIe MADI cards
  • BMB3 – Dante: Two Ethernet ports for use with DANTE enabled DAWs, and any DANTE-enabled device
  • BMB4 – Waves SoundGrid: Audio over IP for digital audio network

Burl Audio is also introducing the BAES4 daughter card for the B80 Mothership, offering 4 channels of AES I/O per card to the revolutionary sound of the B80 Mothership. The BAES4 card works along side the existing Motherboard (Digilink, MADI or Dante) so you can run 4 channels of AES in and out in conjunction with the primary connection to your DAW.
