OD-11 Cloud Speaker by Teenage Engineering Available for Pre-Order

Editor’s Update — July 16, 2014: Teenage Engineering has announced that, as of July 18th, the OD-11 will be available in the US at the two MOMA Design Store locations in New York City — across from the museum at 44 West 53rd Street, or SoHo at 81 Spring Street. The OD-11 includes Orthoplay, a remote control app for the iPhone or iPad.

The OD-11 is a 100 watt smart cloud speaker that can provide playback from any device via Bluetooth or Wifi and also includes their free Orthoplay app for iOS devices that allows for configuring and controlling the OD-11.

The cloud speaker was also co-developed with the Stig Carlsson Foundation – Representing a pioneer in cutting edge speaker loud speaker development out of Sweden.

The OD-11 are available for pre-order now with a single unit available for $899 MSRP and stereo pair for $1,699 MSRP. Teenage Engineering also has a wireless volume knob available for pre-order for the OD-11 at $99 MSRP.

Orthoplay for iOS

With it’s clean, simple intelligent interface Orthoplay is the remote control app for the iPhone or iPad. It also helps you configure your cloud services and speaker groups, and will store everything you have played since the day you first turned on your OD-11.

You may switch input source at any time. Choose Wifi, Optical in or 3.5 mm Stereo in.

The only thing you need to get your OD-11 up and running is to connect to your home WiFi. Select your preferred cloud music service and enter your username and password. Orthoplay will do the rest.
