Eventide Shipping H9 Harmonizer Multi-Effects Pedal — One Knob Stompbox
One knob, many meanings.
Eventide recently began shipping its H9 Harmonizer multi-effects pedal, which made a solid splash upon its introduction at NAMM earlier this year. It puts all of Eventide’s stompbox effects – and there are some prized algorithms in that group – into one unit.
From there, control comes via a one-knob user interface and also connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to iPods, iPhones and iPads for creating and managing presets, live control and in-app algorithm purchases. H9 Control is also available for Mac and PC via USB.
Shipping now and available for a street price of $499, the H9 features stereo audio I/O, MIDI I/O and Expression Pedal and Auxiliary Switch inputs.
Studios, engineers, guitarists, synth players, and other effects heads will love the laundry list of Eventide stompboxes that are preloaded on the H9:
From ModFactor: Liquid Chorus, Organic Chorus, Shimmer Chorus, Classic Chorus, Phase XO Chorus, Bias Tremolo, and Opto Tremolo
From PitchFactor: H910, H949, Crystals, Tuner
From TimeFactor: Tape Echo and Vintage Delay
From Space: Hall and Shimmer
The standard bundle also includes the first in a series of new H9-specific algorithms, UltraTap Delay.
All of Eventide’s stompbox algorithms and their associated presets are available for in-app purchase.
The H9 is fully controllable via its front panel. In addition, a free iOS app, H9 Control, can be downloaded to your iPhone or iPad for live editing, creating and managing presets and changing system settings wirelessly via Bluetooth.
