This may be the most massive 360 yet to be unleashed in recording.

Get Out of the Garage has launched – an artist discovery happening that will allow an emerging artist to win a big career opportunity. Designed to help discover talented independent artists, it was created in partnership between Converse, Guitar Center and the prolific producer Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange (Florence and the Machine, The Chemical Brothers, Solange Knowles).

Get Out of the Garage will see the winning artist recording an EP with Hynes at Converse Rubber Tracks recording studio in Brooklyn, USA.

There’s a lot more at stake besides this priceless studio experience, however. The winner will also pick up a glamorous/practical prize package that includes $25,000 cash, a performance in Austin at The FADER FORT presented by Converse, gear from Fender, Vox, Martin, Shure, worldwide digital distribution from TuneCore, and more.

“Working with new artists is something I’m always keen to do, free of jadedness and excitable with zero connotations in regards to experimentation,” Dev Hynes noted. “If I could just help aid where they want to go somehow then I’ll be extremely happy.”

Who wouldn’t be into this? Submissions are officially open, and will remain that way through October 2nd. Visit here to get in.

The winning artist will have to display social media savvy to go along with their world-shaking musical gifts. Check out the program launch video and see the full details after that, as provided by Guitar Center and Converse:
