Advertising Agency Acquires Cotton Hill Studios
The Saratoga Springs-based advertising agency, Fingerpaint, has acquired the John Stoyrk-designed Cotton Hill Studios, an audio and video production facility in Albany.
Cotton Hill’s staff of five will join Fingerpaint, and Cotton Hill will be rebranded as a Fingerpaint office. Beyond that, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The agency – whose clients include GE and Purina – reportedly wanted to strengthen its in-house television, radio and online video capabilities, and Cotton Hill’s facilities and expertise were a perfect fit.
Cotton Hill founder Ray Rettig says the studios have worked with Fingerpaint for years. Now, he says, “we’re looking forward to taking our clients’ work to an even higher level together.”
According to Ed Mitzen at Fingerpaint, the purchase enables Fingerpaint to serve clients in every aspect of broadcast and online content production.
Cotton Hill’s studios, which include two recording and audio production and post rooms (Studio A with a Trident 80C console), large live room (pictured) and video production/editing suite, will remain in Albany, NY.
