Event Choice: Vaudeville October Residency Debuts Saturday, 10/6 in BKLYN
Go ahead, and pay attention to the man behind the curtain. Because – in this case – that man is Ian M. Coletti, the driving force behind the thriving Williamsburg community arts venue Vaudeville Park.
As his artistic alter ego, Vaudeville, Colletti will perform in this free music series with special guests for three Saturdays in October (6th, 13th, 20th) at Vaudeville Park, Brooklyn, as part of a residency and lead up to CMJ Music Marathon events there.
Amazing NYC guest artists and friends, solo, duo, and acoustic music, will all be on hand starting tonight, October 6, which stands as Night One of the Vaudeville Residency.
Doors open at 6:30, and showtime is at 7:00. Tonight’s opener is part of the launch for Vaudeville’s upcoming On The Hudson release taking place this month.
Colletti’s “Vaudeville October Residency” marks his big step forward as a solo artist, after last season’s work in the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, past four Jandek live recordings/ performances, and multiple live film/ dance scores such as Noir Night, and others.
The free music series will feature guest artists including Larkin Grimm (Dirty Projectors), Sam Mickens (Xiu Xiu), Bruno Covielo (Light Asylum) C Spencer Yeh, Ha-Yang Kim (Tzadik), Toby Driver (Secret Chiefs), Rachel Mason, Baby Copperhead (Ben Lee) and others too.
While you’re there, behold a new full mural by artist Brian Zegeer enlivening the outside of Vaudeville Park.
Be there! Vaudeville Park is at 26 Bushwick Ave, Brooklyn.
