JDK Audio Launches Two 500 Series Modules – V10 Mic , V12 Compressor
There are officially two more enticing options available to add to your 500 rack – from some people who should know how to build them.

The V10 single-channel mic preamp from JDK is identical to a single channel of the JDK R20 mic preamp.
JDK Audio, the boutique audio technology brand within API, has launched the V10 single-channel mic preamp, along with the V12 single-channel compressor. Both are available now with an MSRP of $695 for each unit.
The V10 and V12 are built in accordance with API’s 500-series modular lunchbox format, which is seen as the standard for modular signal processing equipment. The V10’s circuit is identical to a single channel of the JDK R20 mic preamp, while the V12’s circuit is identical to a single channel of the JDK R22 compressor, which itself is a replica of the famed inline compressor on ATI Paragon consoles.
According to JDK, the V10 is a fully-featured mic preamp, with 54dB of mic-level gain, 45dB of instrument-level gain, padding, phantom power, and phase inversion.
The JDK V12 offers the patented “Thrust” circuit that preserves high-frequency content even under aggressive compression settings and is paired with responsive threshold, ratio, knee, and gain makeup controls.
