CMJ Music Marathon 2012 Announces First 100 Panelists
For some, the annual CMJ Music Marathon conjures up magical musical visions – five days and nights of 1,300+ shows are on tap at 80+ NYC venues this year.
For scores of others, however, CMJ also represents an opportunity to score up-to-the-minute music biz advice. For the intellectuals in the crowd (and there are many), CMJ will be presenting 70+ panels this year, covering everything from streaming music to social media, management, cloud computing, “direct to fan” marketing, smart phone technology, music supervision, replacing the record label, website creation, and many more (see the list of announced panels here).
In that spirit, CMJ has announced its first 100 panelists, who will appear on panels held from October 16-20 at the Kimmel Center at New York University’s Greenwich Village campus. This wily group of music industry veterans and savvy upstarts includes:
