Rain Computers Introduces Event A2: Mini Audio Computer For Songwriters

View Single Page

Because the songwriters outnumber the producers, engineers, and studios, NJ-based Rain Computers announced today that it has released the new version of its Event Mini Audio Computer, the Event A2.

Rain Computer has the specific needs of songwriters in mind with the new Event A2.

Priced at $799, the Event A2 has been designed by Rain specifically for songwriters, providing them with “a digital scratch pad” optimized to easily demo new songs and record ideas.

The Event A2, which stands as the second generation of Rain’s Event audio computer, is based on the latest dual- and quad-core APU technology designed by AMD for high-efficiency and great performance. It also provides an excellent visual display via its built-in Radeon HD graphics processor, which is part of the APU architecture.

The creation of the A2 comes in response to songwriters’ need for a low price, entry-level system that is still capable of serving as a powerful and stable platform for popular creative software such as Pro Tools and Cubase. The A2 represents a combination of increased levels of power and flexibility, at a budget-friendly price for songwriters, producers, and engineers who do not always require a higher-powered – and more expensive — machine.

Rain’s Event A2 is tested and certified with the most popular creative software and hardware. Features of the second generation Event include the option for a powerful 2.6GHz quad-core processor, up to 16GB of 1600MHz memory, high-speed Solid State Drive (SSD) technology by Corsair, among other features.

The Event A2 is capable of running two full size displays and the Windows 7 64-bit operating system right out of the box, for finely-tuned performance and stability.

The Event A2 starts at $799 for the dual-core version, and $999 for a quad-core with 8GB of memory and a 500GB high-performance hard drive.
