Mackie Launches Master Fader Control App for DL 1608 Mixer, w/ Free Download
Mackie continues to build anticipation for the upcoming launch of its DL1608 Digital 16-channel Live Sound Mixer with iPad Control, in innovative ways.
The latest development gives users something they can actually get their hands on, with the first release of the Mackie Master Fader control application for the DL1608. A free download from the app store, the preview release of the Master Fader app is intended to allow users to try out the functions of the DL1608 mixer before they buy it.
According to Mackie, the Master Fader app delivers total control over the Mackie DL1608. It has a focus on speed and control, and was designed from the ground up for touch: it eliminates unnecessary screens and avoids redundancies, offering simple navigation, wired or wirelessly, in conjunction with the Mackie DL1608 hardware.
Completely updateable via the iOS app store, future releases will have many feature upgrades and additional functionality. Not all features are available on this preview version, but will be complete when the DL1608 hits the shelves.
The Mackie DL1608 combines a full-featured digital mixer with the ease and mobility of an iPad. The DL1608 features 16 Onyx mic preamps and 24bit Cirrus Logic AD/DA converters; wired-to-wireless iPad control allows a user to mix from anywhere in the venue, to control not only the mix, but also plug-ins like EQ, dynamics, effects and more. Additionally, the DL1608 supports up to 10 iPad devices so musicians’ can control their own monitor mix on stage.
Mackie currently anticipates the first DL1608 shipments to begin arriving at dealers beginning in August.
