Akai Announces Third and Final MPC of Their Next Generation MPC Line – MPC FLY For iPad 2
After watching the countdown clock for days, Akai Professional this week finally unveiled the third and final addition of their new line of next-gen MPC products. First there was the mighty MPC Renaissance (which we covered here), then the MPC Studio — which has been incredibly slimmed down for bikini season — and now the MPC FLY for iPad 2.
The Renaissance and Studio both integrate with Mac or PC with new software solutions. As far as the Fly – Who needs a computer when you have an iPad 2? Integrate the feel of the hardware with the Akai MPC Fly app and make beats anywhere!
For now no official price or release date has been announced for either of the new MPC products. But we can supply an ample serving of specs from Akai about the MPC Fly:
“MPC Fly merges unmatched Akai Professional technology with the power of your iPad 2, embodying legendary capabilities that have made the MPC an industry standard like real MPC pads, MPC Note Repeat and MPC Swing. Its multifunctional, double-hinged design gives you the flexibility to produce tracks anywhere, while also acting as a protective case between sessions and giving you total access to your iPad 2 for normal uses.
