2011 Audio Branding Congress Conducts Jury Selection Process for Audio Branding Award
The Audio Branding Award, introduced by the Audio Branding Academy to recognize achievement in the field, will be presented to the most impressive case study presented at the 2011 Audio Branding Congress, taking place Nov. 17 at the Columbia University Faculty House.
The Audio Branding Academy is currently in the process of selecting the jury that will choose six case studies for consideration. The winning case study will be chosen by Congress attendees via popular vote. Several members of the jury have already been confirmed – with additional members to be named later – from diverse fields including media, art, advertising, marketing, and music.
According to academy co-founder Kai Bronner, the Audio Branding Award’s purpose is to further establish and institutionalize audio branding as an essential component in branding.
The Congress’s “Stay Connected, Sound Global” theme will gather the world’s foremost experts and scholars in the fields of music, sound design, branding, marketing, and cognitive research for a day of discussion, education, case study reviews, and trend forecasting. A diverse range of speakers will present case studies exploring audio branding for mobile devices, applications, and emerging digital media.
The Audio Branding Congress was founded in 2009 by the Audio Branding Academy in Hamburg, Germany. The Congress was originally structured to bring together audio branding professionals on an international level to discuss audio branding and its relevance and importance to brand communication.
The Congress moves to New York City for 2011, where it will be hosted by audio branding, sound design, and original music house Expansion Team.
Call for case studies: The Audio Branding Academy is inviting audio branding, music, marketing, and advertising agencies with outstanding audio brands less than four years old to submit their own case studies for consideration. To submit a case study, please contact award@audio-branding-academy.org. The Audio Branding Academy will provide applicants with an application form and all necessary details in a timely manner.
