SoundToys has released the latest version of its full software line — version 4.1 — and the three new Artist Preset Expanders we previously announced from producer/engineer Tchad Blake, electronic artist/remixer Morgan Page, and producer/songwriter Peter Wade.

SoundToys V4.1 release, available free to all registered SoundToys users through the new SoundToys user accounts, includes vital fixes for VST-based applications such as Cubase, Nuendo, and Sonar and additional updates for all users.

Tchad Blake

The new preset expanders include Tchad Blake’s Decapitator presets, Morgan Page’s dance/remix presets, and Peter Wade’s custom SoundToys presets. All three expanders require the new V4.1 release and are available for free download to registered SoundToys V4 users.

Known for his use of saturation and distortion in his mixes, Grammy-winning mixer/producer/engineer Tchad Blake (Peter Gabriel, Suzanne Vega, Sheryl Crow) shares his custom presets for SoundToys’ analog saturation modeling plugin, Decapitator — derived during his mix of the new Black Keys record, Brothers — in his preset expander.

Remixer/producer Morgan Page (La Roux, Tegan & Sara, Madonna) takes the SoundToys plug-ins through their paces to deliver an extensive remix preset expander that will give you some of his favorite patches and let you expand from there.

And producer/mixer/composer/artist, Peter Wade, brings a “twisted pop sensibility” to presets for PanMan, FilterFreak, Crystallizer, PhaseMistress, Tremolator and EchoBoy. Also included are custom Decapitator presets from his studio cohort/engineer-in-training, Emmett Farley.

Wade, a Grammy winning producer, songwriter, engineer and half of electronic duo MNDR, co-penned/produced Mark Ronson’s recent hit single “Bang Bang Bang,” in addition to producing and writing Melanie Fiona’s “Monday Morning.” He works out of his LaBronze Johnson Studios in NYC.

V4.1 and the preset expanders are available free to all registered SoundToys users through the new SoundToys user accounts: https://www.soundtoys.com/acct
