Video Interview with Steve Massey of Massey Plugins

View Single Page

EAST VILLAGE, MANHATTAN: SonicScoop is on the SCENE. A couple weeks back, we met up with Steve Massey — the brain behind Massey Plugins — during his visit to NYC. Comfortably ensconced in a corner of Lakeside Lounge, we used the magic of video to get inside this mastermind’s mind.

For more on the man who brought you such modern day plug-in classics as the vt3 3-band EQ, CT4 Compressor, TapeHead Saturator, L2007 Mastering Limiter and more, just click that big ole’ arrow below.

SonicScoop thanks NYC’s Ross Dackow for the comprehensive video production!

Awesome! I got the email he’d be in town but I couldn’t make it. His plug-ins really rock, and are super-affordable alternatives to the Waves equivalents.

Lol @ David rocking CuBase and Acid Pro 🙂

Sounds like it was SoundSoap’ed to death. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease, no?

Massey should make a plugin to fix horrible interview audio….don’t really think its on high demand right now though….

Great Interview with the man, Tragic about the crappy audio, you don’t need a plugin to fix it just get it right in the first place, I guess that goes for any recording really.

Steve’s plugins are awesome. I own them all.
…. but I had to switch this interview off – it’s possibly the worst sound I have ever heard on the web for something as simple as an interview. The creator of this needs to re-encode it with better quality.
