IMSTA FESTA Music Software Expo At SAE Saturday, 9/25
IMSTA FESTA, a celebration of music software, will be held at SAE Institute, 1293 Broadway (between 6th Avenue & 34th Street) on Saturday, 9/25, starting at 11:00AM and running through 7:00PM.
The event is free, but attendees must register by visiting this page.
The First IMSTA FESTA started in Japan, for the benefit of technology companies, producers and hobbyists. IMSTA FESTA brings a collection of top audio technology companies together in an environment where they can interact with music makers.
The event is open to music professionals, semi-pros, hobbyists and students.
Attendees can:
— Meet the top music technology companies in a hands-on environment.
— Ask questions and learn from highly trained clinicians and product specialists.
— Attend the Shocklee Innertainment Panel Series hosted by Shocklee Entertainment.
— Enter the Hitlab Song Competition. To qualify, attendees should bring an MP3 file of their best recorded song for a chance to perform in front of Akon and win a record label contract. The first, second and third place winners will receive software prizes given away by world-class music software companies.
— Attendees will also receive $100 of free software courtesy of IK Multimedia.
— In addition, they will get a chance to meet Mr. Clyde Stubblefield, the legendary ‘funky drummer’ from James Brown‘s band of the 60’s and 70’s. The event marks his first New York appearance in some time — he will be accessible to answer questions and sign autographs.
