A steady stream of top artists and hit songwriters have been through NYC’s Platinum Sound in recent months, including Shakira, Keri Hilson, Busta Rhymes, Gucci Mane and John Legend, and The Strangerz, Jay Shawn, Redd Stylez & Ashley Loren and Michael Warren.
Estelle’s “Fall in Love” and Shakira’s World Cup theme-song, “Waca Waca,” were mixed at Platinum Sound by Serge Tsai. Serge has also worked on new material by Jazmine Sullivan, Keri Hilson, Gucci Mane and Chrisette Michele.
Meanwhile engineer Mike Desalvo has been engineering sessions at Platinum with Mr. Hudson, The Strangerz, Redd Stylez, Applejuice and John Legend.
Platnium Sound is a dual SSL studio facility on 46th Street, billing it’s Studio J “the loudest room in New York City,” and its 5.1-equipped Studio K (pictured) a state-of-the-art for not only music mixing and recording but also ADR, pre- and post-production, and mixing for picture.
