Calling all composers working in film, television, video games and commercials and those aspiring to any/all of the above: The Society for Composers and Lyricists and AFM Local 802 will be presenting a Composers Conference on Tuesday, June 15 from 6:30 – 9:30PM.

The event, “AFM Agreements: How They Can Work For You,” is aimed at demystifying the process of recording under a union contract from inception to completing, looking at how to record the best music and maximize your budget and your earnings.

Event panelists will include SCL President Dan Foliart, AFM President Tino Gagliardi and Dennis Dreith of the Secondary Markets Fund along with a group of top film, television, commercial and video game composers including Carter Burwell (Twilight, Where the Wild Things Are), Mark Suozzo (The Nanny Diaries, American Splendor), Joel Beckerman of Man Made Music (CBS Evening News, The Today Show),  Joel Simon of JSM Music and Andy Brick (Halo 1, 2, 3; Mafia 2). An all-star team of contractors, union reps and other experts on recording music for Film, TV, Commercials and Video Games will be on-hand as well.
