Event Alert: Tonight, Thursday 5/20 — Deconstructing Sgt. Pepper at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, NY
Tonight, Thursday 5/20 at 7:30 PM, “Deconstructing Sgt. Pepper” will be presented at the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington, New York.
In this presentation, composer/producer/engineer/Beatles expert Scott Freiman looks at Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band from multiple angles, exploring the history behind the music. Using rare and unreleased audio and video, Freiman walks the audience through the construction of songs from take one to the final version.
New light will be shed on the Beatles’ innovation in the studio, focusing on the writing of Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison as well as the drumming of Ringo Starr.
The Cinema Arts Centre is located at 423 Park Avenue in Huntington, New York. Tickets to the event are $9 for members and $13 for the general public. There will be a reception along with the presentation.
