Cellist Brent Arnold's Record Release To Kick Off Vaudeville Park's "Music As Art" Series
Cellist and composer Brent Arnold (Modest Mouse, Sleater-Kinney, DJ/Rupture) will play a record release show this Sunday, April 18, at composer/musician Ian Colletti‘s Williamsburg venue, Vaudeville Park.
Vaudeville Park is the space which formerly housed Colletti’s working music studio. Now a community arts space, it has hosted guest curators of film, visual, scultoral, performance and installation art, music.
Arnold is celebrating the release of his new album with a “special inter-media event,” starting at 8pm, where he will perform his music for solo cello, voice and electronics, accompanied by live video art created by Daniel Perlin and Brian Zegeer.
This performance is the first in an ongoing series of installations and performances at Vaudeville Park entitled “Music as Art/ Music is Art.”
“Exciting and delicious cocktails” will be served free at the open bar (for those 21 and over) with price of entry ($6 at the door).
Vaudeville Park is located at 26 Bushwick Ave. at Devoe (L train to Graham Ave).
