NYC retro rock foursome The Postelles will release their self-titled debut album — a project two years in the making — on Astralwerks/Capitol Records on July 27.

Scoop_PostellesThe band recruited Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. as co-producer for the 11-song LP, and after returning home from their US/Europe tour, they will be playing a record release show on July 28 at Bowery Ballroom.

In March, the band released the EP, White Night, recorded at NYC’s Electric Lady Studios, featuring three new songs and an exclusive remix of “Sleep on the Dance Floor” by Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor. To celebrate the EP’s release, the Postelles are giving away “White Night” as a free download on their website. Check it out at http://www.thepostelles.com.

Tickets for the release show went on sale on Monday — order them online at http://www.boweryballroom.com/calendar.
