Euphonix Unveils MC Control v2 for Artist Series
At NAB, Euphonix has announced the latest in their Artist Series line of media controllers, the MC Control v2.
Improvements on the original MC Control include enhanced graphics, making use of the device’s high-resolution 800 x 480 pixel LED-backlit touchscreen, and eight touch sensitive rotary encoders.
The device’s touchscreen will display track names, metering, automation mode, fader / pan values, and allows the user to solo, mute, and record arm tracks, trigger Soft Keys, and perform surround panning.
Eight new rotary encoders will offer direct control over panning, gain, editing plug-in and EQ parameters, as well as the ability to instantiate and navigate through parameters.
MC Control v2 will also feature EuCon, a control protocol developed by Euphonix that enables simultaneous control of multiple applications and workstations over an Ethernet cable at 250 times the speed and eight times the resolution of MIDI. EuCon automatically detects whatever application is in the foreground and instantly sets all controls and high-resolution touch-screen display to match.
The MC Control v2 will be available at authorized Euphonix retailers in late April, and will retail for $1,499.99.
