Derek Trucks of the Derek Trucks Band and The Allman Brothers recently stopped by Quad Studios to cut guitars for an upcoming Dr. John album on Savoy Records.
Tracking took place in Quad’s Studio “D” overlooking Times Square with long-time Quad affiliate Rick Slater engineering, and staffer Michael Freyer providing assistance. (View part of Derek’s set-up in Rick Slater’s “Deconstructing the Project Part II” here). Vintage Fender amps were provided by Arty Smith, and routed using the Little Labs PCP Distro box.
