Brooklyn's Suckers to Release Chris Zane-Produced LP on Frenchkiss
Suckers, the Brooklyn-based art-pop quartet, are set to release their new LP, Wild Smile, June 8 on Manhattan-based indie label Frenchkiss Records (The Antlers, Les Savy Fav, The Dodos).
Chris Zane (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Holy Ghost) produced and engineered (recorded and mixed) Wild Smile, with the exception of two songs — “It Gets Your Body Movin'” (produced by Anand Wilder and Chris Moore) and “Save Your Love For Me” (Chris Moore). Zane works out of Gigantic Studios in NYC. Check out our recent Q&A with him.
Wild Smile was mastered by Joe LaPorta at The Lodge.
Check out the album’s first single, “Black Sheep.” It’s also now available for download on iTunes.
Having just returned from SXSW, Suckers will embark on a national tour this Spring to support Wild Smile, opening for labelmates Local Natives. The tour hits the Bowery Ballroom for two sold out shows May 6 and 7.
Those hoping to see Suckers a bit sooner can catch them headlining Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday, April 6, as part of the Fader Bowl series.
