Native Instruments and Heavyocity Release Evolve Mutations 2
Native Instruments and Heavyocity have released Evolve Mutations 2, the latest in the virtual instrument series to come from the collaboration between the two software instrument companies, based in Berlin and NYC, respectively.
The instrument, which runs on Native Instrument’s Kontakt Player, features over 300 new sounds based on 2 GB of samples, and is intended for use by film, TV, and game composers. The samples are organized into four categories: Rhythmic Suites (providing percussive and tonal loops), Percussive Kits, Stings & Transitions, and Tonality & FX.
New to the instrument is the “Trigger FX” feature, which maps keys within a certain octave on the keyboard to activate specific sound treatments including saturation, panning, delay effects and more. Users have the option to layer and combine these effects to create original effects for their project.
Evolve Mutations 2 retails for $119, and is available for purchase at the Native instruments online shop: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/shop/.
