A former Creative Director and Composer at Singing Serpent and Elias Arts, Lucas Van Lenten, has formed a new original music and sound design production company with some composers from the Brooklyn music community. It’s called Sound Collective.

“After 7 years in the trenches of the commercial music world, an idea began to germinate: a way to combine and distill the best creative and production practices into a vibrant, world-class home for exceptionally talented friends, collaborators and peers,” Van Lenten explains. The mission? “To create and deliver authentic and compelling music and sound design for commercials, broadcast and cable, as well as promos, web and digital content, film, and gaming.”

Sound Collective is based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and its composers have written music for Nextel, MTV, McDonald’s, Gillette, BMW, Titleist, Coca Cola, Staples and LG, among other brands. Composers on the roster include: Bryan Teoh, Joshua Camp, Shahla Atlas, Gary Levitt, Bubba Kadane and Quentin Jennings.
