Interpol, Ray Davies, Green Day at Electric Lady
Interpol’s been recording their new album in one of NYC’s best tracking rooms, Electric Lady’s Studio A, with engineer Claudius Mittendorfer (Arctic Monkeys, Amazing Baby). The follow up to ‘07’s Our Love to Admire is due out this Spring on Capitol Records.
Legendary Kinks frontman Ray Davies has also been recording at Electric Lady with engineer Chris Shaw (Leondard Cohen, Super Furry Animals) and special guests Paul Shaffer and members of the Late Night band, and Jon Bon Jovi.
And did you know that Green Day’s American Idiot is heading to the Great White Way? Tracking for the Broadway version of American Idiot has been happening at Electric Lady, with engineer Chris Dugan (Iggy Pop, The Network) at the controls.
D’Angelo has also been tracking for his much-anticipated upcoming album at Electric Lady as well. And Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Doves) has been mixing the new record by Canadian indie-pop band, Stars in Studio B.
