Brooklyn’s Monkey Town, which has been an invaluable venue for emerging New York City musicians and visual artists, is closing on January 24.

Equipped with a decent sound system and projectors for all four walls, Monkey Town’s performance space was the ideal live music home for artists of all stripes including experimental, jazz, visual, and more.
After Christmas, Monkey Town will be posting their January schedule, promising a “victory lap” with dozens of their all-star performers and events. Their 6th Annual Holiday Porn Week kicks things off next week with a Classics/Best-Of program; Lars Von Trier erotica; and a finale night with sex-toy store Babeland.
