The Gibson Dusk Tiger, the third generation instrument from Gibson Robot technologies, will be unveiled in NYC on Monday, December 7th at 5:00 PM. The event will take place at Sam Ash Music, 155 West 48th Street between Broadway and 6th Avenue.

The Dusk Tiger will be demonstrated by Earl Slick (David Bowie, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Jim Diamond, Robert Smith). Only 200 retail sides globally will have access to sell the guitar, of which only 1.000 units are being produced.

The Dusk Tiger follows up on the Gibson Dark Fire guitar, which came after the first generation Robot Guitar. Although the Dark Fire sold out within two days, it was subsequently found to have manufacturing issues that were revealed in the field.

Offering a number of important innovations, including programmable on-board multiband EQ, a combination of magnetic and piezo pickups with separate outputs for each string, multichannel FireWire interface, 18 user-programmable alternate tunings, lower current consumption, and more, the Dusk Tiger appears to represent a significant addition to the electric guitar landscape.
