FiRe 1.3 iPhone App Sports iZotope DSP
Audiofile Engineering‘s FiRe professional field recording App for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch is now in version 1.3, with several new features added, including professional audio effects by iZotope and a new Podcast Export option which allows users to publish podcasts directly from the iPhone.
Musicians writing songs or recording rehearsals and sound engineers recording on location will appreciate FiRe 1.3‘s improved overdub mode, the ability to change the playback speed while retaining the pitch, the ability to compress files in AAC, Apple Lossless, FLAC, and Ogg Vorbis formats, improved search and metadata functionality, a new toolbar for fast access to recordings and an updated SoundCloud API among other new features.
According to Audiofile, FiRe 1.3 is the first app with the ability to publish a finished Podcast directly from the iPhone or iPod touch. As a Podcast recorder, FiRe also enables users to tag recordings with location data and insert and name markers.
