Keith Paine, Rene Lopez, Morley Recording At Grand Street
Williamsburg’s Grand Street Recording has hosted a wide variety of artists this fall, including most recently NYC-based blues-rock singer/songwriter Keith Paine who tracked and mixed his new record at Grand Street with producer/engineer/bassist Ken Rich (Joseph Arthur, Tracy Bonham).
The recording and mixing of Latin pop/soul artist Rene Lopez‘s new EP recently wrapped at Grand Street as well, featuring all-star players including Danny Sadownik (Al Green, The Roots), Rob Clores (The Black Crowes), and Jesse Murphy (The Brazilian Girls).
The EP, Johnny Wants To Be A Matador, is due out December 1. Check out the title track here.
And NYC chanteuse, Morley, recently hit Grand Street Studios with her band, which includes Gene Lake, James Genus and Robin Mactangay, to track and mix 12 new songs with Rich.
Prior to these sessions, but in the last few months at Grand Street, new records by Tracy Bonham, Masts Of Manhatta, and Julia Darling were also completed.
And, the studio’s recently hosted some Deli Magazine contest winners, including NYC-area bands Cavalier Rose, The Static Jacks, and Hank & Cupcakes.
