Free Stuff: Embrace the Inner Miser and Rebel Against Consumer Confidence!
You may have heard the famous quote, “I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor. Rich is better.”
While it’s widely disputed who first said it, it’s been attributed to a number of singers, actors and show business types in the first half of the 20th century. Whoever said it, sadly, I’ll have to take their word for it, and so will most of you. But don’t get too down; it’s easier than ever to do more with less these days. You can’t always do something for nothing — this run down of recent free music goodies includes some items that require previous software or hardware purchases, but they’re still bargains by any stretch.

VOX JAMVOX 1.5 UPGRADE
Previous users of Vox’s JamVOX hardware/software virtual amp and practice/jamming tool, can upgrade to v.1.5 of the software for free. The upgrade adds three high-def reverbs optimized for electric guitar and enhanced tempo- and pitch-change functions. Also, the GXT (Guitar XTracktion) algorithm is better in v.1.5. GXT removes the guitar from a digital audio file so the user can play along to the remaining song. Get the update, and turn your thrifty meter up to 11.
