There’s a new DAW on the block.

Presonus’ Studio One is now available in two versions: Studio One Artist, which ships with every PreSonus audio interface; and Studio One Pro, which has all of the features of Studio One Artist and includes VST, AU, and ReWire support; a fully integrated mastering section; and other additional features and bundled content.

According to Presonus, Studio One Pro is based on a cutting-edge audio engine that delivers unparalleled sound and automatically switches between 32-bit and 64-bit floating-point processing on the fly (even with a 32-bit OS), ensuring the highest quality audio at all times. Studio One Artist employs the same audio engine but only operates in 32-bit mode.

Both versions are compatible with any ASIO-, Windows Audio-, or CoreAudio-compliant audio interface, and ‘auto-configure’ with the entire line of PreSonus interfaces.

For ultra-simplicity, Studio One’s workspace allows users to track, edit and mix in one window, accessed by a single click, or  work on separate Console and Arrange views which can be dragged to separate displays.

Studio One Pro and Studio One Artist come with loads of proprietary effects and sounds. Check out all the features and built-in tools and sounds here!

Studio One Pro also supports ReWire and VST/VST 3 and AU plug-ins, with automatic delay compensation, and has a feature called Pipeline, a plug-in that provides hardware inserts with delay compensation for integrating outboard processors.

Expected U.S. street price for Studio One Pro is $399; expected U.S. street price for Studio One Artist is $199. Both programs are available now at all authorized PreSonus dealers. Studio One Artist is bundled free with all PreSonus interfaces, including the StudioLive 16.4.2 digital mixer.
